A perfect getaway. Simple yet elegant, comfortable and convenient. Publix was 1 mile away golf courses and country clubs less than 10 minutes away. Lots of good restaurants. I did not make use of the golf cart, but it was there for the using lots of places to take my standard poodle for exercise. If I came again, I would rent the same house. Lovely and comfortable furniture. Kitchen was well equipped appliances were top-notch. I loved my stay!
Everything was very nice, good location, warm surroundings; however, if you have back issues, bring a soft mattress cover. :)
I have nothing but good to say about the accommodations. However, I thought we should have been given a discount for the fact that we didn’t have hot water for four days and the fact that the water smelled like rotten eggs and I took a shower thinking it would get better but it didn’t and I had a set of rings that tarnished because of it. These rings were sterling silver with platinum coating. My husband bought them for me in Sumpter about 4 years ago so they had sentimental value since he passed away 3 years ago in February. No they weren’t fine jewelry but they still looked beautiful and costs about $250 and to replace them would cost about $300 at the same store since I checked with the where they were purchased. The owner offered to see if they could be recoated but I had checked with the store where they were purchased and was told they could not be restored. The owner also offered my sister in law and I to come take a shower at their house but we did not feel comfortable doing that.
